Things to do in Tampa

There are so many things to do in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay has all of the attributes that make Florida one of the world's favorite destinations. There are so many things to do in Tampa Bay. There are dozens of pristine golf courses offering championship golf as well as incredible scenery. There are waterways that wrap around the region's miles of coastline.

Tampa beaches offer some of the most fabulous playgrounds in the world with blue skies and powdery sand. Clearwater Beach is probably one the most well known. Howard Park is the closest.

The park system offers so many choices. I have chosen some of my favorite

parks that would be great for a short day trip. There are several state parks for fishing, hiking, canoeing and camping that within a short drive.

I am sure that you will want a good book to curl up with whether you choose your peaceful home or a day at the beach. There are several libraries that are available to you in the area.

Perhaps bike trails are what you envision during your time in Florida. Bicycles are everywhere and they are not just for the young. The glorious weather and flat terrain make it perfect exercise for seniors as well.

Our area is blessed with wonderful bike trails all over the area that are up to 40 plus miles long. They meander through nature and gorgeous scenery so you can never run out of a place to ride.

Tampa Bay offers major theme parks without the crowd in Orlando. A visit to Busch Gardens or Adventure Island which is a 30 acre water park will provide you with an experience that you will always remember.

One of my favorite things is...

antique shopping. There are several great small towns around for wonderful antiques. Mt. Dora and Dade City are just a couple of them.

Maybe Tampa flea markets are your thing. Webster offers one of the best of the best flea markets. There are many to choose from.

If you prefer a day at the mall for shopping , there are many malls to choose from.

There are year round festivals, concerts and activities.

Cultural endeavors for you? We offer the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Ruth Eckerd Hall and The Ford Amphitheater at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Tampa Concert Halls offer a vast selection of performances.

If sports is your hobby then perhaps the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Legends Field for spring training of the New York Yankees. Tropicana Field is home to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The sunny weather makes it perfect to pick your activity and go.
